On Saturday, March 29, 2008, a Suffragan Bishop for the Diocese of Dallas was elected at Saint Matthew's Cathedral. The Rev'd Canon Paul Lambert, Canon to the Ordinary in the Diocese of Dallas was elected on the 6th ballot.

The delegates from Saint David of Wales were Steve Hale, Beverly Ivey. Donald Pickens, Mary Jo Pickens and Canon Herrmann.

Canon Lambert's consecration will take place at the Church of Saint Michael and All Angels, 8011 Douglas @ Colgate, Dallas, Texas 75225, beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2008.  A reception will follow and all are welcome to attend.
