The music ministry is a beloved tradition at our parish. The 10:30 Sunday morning liturgy includes a sung Eucharist, pipe organ, choir, and sung psalms, with an occasional guest instrumentalist or handbell choir. The adult choir usually numbers around twelve and is made up of volunteers and students on “choir scholarships.” Child care is provided for Wednesday evening choir rehearsal when needed.

Each year the choir provides special music for Advent lessons and carols, Easter lessons and carols and patriotic music for a July 4th celebration. Pipe organ music is also provided at both the 8:00 a.m. and the 5:00 p.m. celebrations of the Holy Eucharist. Those called by God and desiring to offer their gift of musical talent should contact the Rector or Pam Youngblood for the adult choir and instrumentals.

St. David’s also has a Children’s Choir that meets on a seasonal basis and each year prepares a Nativity and/or Easter drama to be presented during one of the liturgies.
